Lt Col Richman, Group 2 Commander, offers some thoughts on the latest happenings. Maj Montgomery relinquishes command of Squadron 36. Lt Col Sena accepts command of Squadron 36. 1st Lt Carter addresses the crowd with the State of the Squadron address for Sq80. Lt Col Sena addresses the crowd with the State of the Squadron address for Sq36. Mr. Guerrero and Lt Col Sena promote Mark Guerrero to the grade of 2d Lt. Mr. Carleton promotes Louis Carleton to the grade of C/SMSgt. Mr. Rowland promotes David Teague to the grade of C/TSgt. Mr. Herbert promotes Matthew Herbert to the grade of C/TSgt. Mr. Needham promotes Kenny Needham to the grade of C/SrA. Maj Montgomery promotes Annie Pepper to the grade of C/A1C. Lt Col Lee presides over the presentation of Ken Orvick's Billy Mitchell Award. Ken Orvick is promoted to the grade of C/2d Lt with some help from his mother and aunt (both of which were C/2d Lts themselves!) Mrs. Guerrero affixes a set of CAP Pilot wings on her son, 2d Lt Guerrero. Maj Tupper receives "Pilot of the Year" from 1st Lt Carter. Cadet Moyer is named "Most Improved Cadet of the Year" by Lt Col Sena. Maj McDowell receives commander's recognition from 1st Lt Carter. Chaplain Berger receives commander's recognition from 1st Lt Carter. Lt Col Richman presents 2d Lt Sena and Cadet Herbert their first Search "Find" Awards (Non-Distress.) Cadet Herbert is named "Outstanding NCO of the Year" by Lt Col Sena. Lt Col Sena announces C/2d Lt Guerrero as Squadron 36's "Cadet of the Year" (accepting for C/2d Lt Guerrero is his father, Mr. Guerrero.) C/2d Lt Orvick awards Capt Reid Squadron 36's "Senior Member of the Year." Maj Montgomery receives a personal token from Lt Col Sena for Montgomery's service as Squadron 36's commander from 2005-2007. Maj Montgomery made a deal that if C/SrA Needham got promoted by the night of the banquet, C/SrA Needham could shave Maj Montgomery's head. C/SrA Needham won the bet!
