CAPTAIN MARICI P. REID, CAP

Capt Marici Reid serves as an Aerospace Education Officer for the John J. Montgomery Memorial Cadet Squadron 36. As such, she is responsible to the squadron commander for aiding in the monitoring of the aerospace education portion of the CAP cadet program, generating and supervising aerospace education activities and supporting projects for cadets, and supervising the aerospace education testing program for cadets.

Capt Reid entered the Civil Air Patrol as a cadet, participating in various cadet activities such as the International Air Cadet Exchange Program (Netherlands), National Glider Encampment (Missouri), and the Pacific Region Leadership School. Her cadet experience culminated with her successful receipt of Civil Air Patrol's highest cadet milestone award, the General Carl Spaatz Award (#967) in November, 1989.

Capt Reid left Civil Air Patrol for collegiate and family pursuits and has since returned to Civil Air Patrol in 2006. To date, Capt Reid has been instrumental in providing unique, innovative aerospace projects for cadets and has also served as Squadron 36's team mentor for colorguard competitions.

She is married to Mr. Robin Reid of San Jose, California, and is the proud mother of two sons, 5-year old Scooter and 3-year old Jonathan.
