COMMANDERS
Duane Allen served as the commander for Squadron 36, ending in 1976.
Ted Chavez served as the commander for Squadron 36 from 1976-1978. Chavez' primary association with Civil Air Patrol had been as a Legal Officer. Chavez is still active in Civil Air Patrol, having risen to the CAP grade of Colonel and having served as CAP's National Legal Officer during Maj Gen Dwight Wheless' term as National Commander.
Thomas Teeple served as the commander for Squadron 36, beginning in 1978. The date of his tenure expiration is not known at this time.
Greg Cole served as the commander for Squadron 36, ending in 1985.
Ken Roth served as the commander for Squadron 36 from 1985-1987. Roth's primary association with Civil Air Patrol had been as a Logistics Officer. Roth is still active in Civil Air Patrol through participation as a CAP-USAF Reservist.
Curt Kmiecek served as the commander for Squadron 36 from 1987-1990. Kmiecek's primary association with Civil Air Patrol had been as a Logistics Officer. Kmiecek is still active in Civil Air Patrol today.
Marty Mayer served as the commander for Squadron 36 from 1990-1992. Mayer's primary association with Civil Air Patrol had been as a Cadet Programs Officer. Mayer is no longer active in Civil Air Patrol.
Jim Sena served as the commander for Squadron 36 from 1992-2000. Sena's primary association with Civil Air Patrol has been as a Cadet Programs Officer. Sena is still active in Civil Air Patrol.
Jerry Horne served as the commander for Squadron 36 from 2000-2005. Horne's primary association with Civil Air Patrol has been as an Aerospace Education Officer and as a Finance Officer. Horne is still active in Civil Air Patrol.
Mike "Monty" Montgomery served as the commander for Squadron 36 from March 1, 2005 to March 30, 2007. Montgomery's primary association with Civil Air Patrol has been as a senior member professional development officer (formerly known as Senior Training.) Montgomery is still active in Civil Air Patrol.
Jim Sena serves as the commander for Squadron 36 (2007 - Present). Sena's primary association with Civil Air Patrol has been as a Cadet Programs Officer. Sena is the only member to serve two separate terms as squadron commander.
